Glass fibre reinforcements manufacturer 3B is exhibiting at the China Composites Expo for the first time this year, reflecting the company's plans to expand beyond its core European market. The China Composites Expo 2009 takes place in Shanghai on 2-4 September.
3B will exhibit on stand B4419, together with Shanghai-based GoodStra Chemical Co Ltd, its agent and representative in China.
During the show, 3B will highlight its direct rovings and continuous filament mat (CFM) product lines from its Advantex® and HiPer-tex™ ranges.
Compared to E-glass, HiPer-tex glass fibre is reported to deliver 30% higher strength, 17% higher stiffness, 45% higher strain energy, 10 times greater fatigue resistance, and 30% lower coefficient of linear thermal expansion.
3B, headquartered in Battice, Belgium, develops glass fibre products for the reinforcement of thermoplastics and thermosets. The company has manufacturing facilities in Battice, Belgium, and Birkeland, Norway, formerly owned by Owens Corning.
